IEC 60335-2-15 ‘Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 2-15: Particular requirements for appliances for heating liquids’ clause 22.103.
Application of Home Appliances Test Equipment:
The appliance coupler of cordless appliances shall be constructed to withstand the stresses occurring during normal use.
Feature Cordless Kettle Endurance Test Equipment:
The two live pins of the cordless kettles are connected together and an external resistive load is connected in series with the supply. The external load is such that the current is 1.1 times rated current.
The cordless kettles is placed on its stand and withdrawn 10000 times at a rate of approximately 10 times per minute. The test is continued without current flowing for a further 10 000 times for cordless kettles.
The test device can be connected to external load or has built-in load (optional), the test cycles can be preset (maximum 999999),the test system can record the test cycles and conduction cycles automatically during test, when the preset test cycles have been completed, the test device will stop testing automatically.
